From creating a copy of the Britney spears video “hit me baby on more time” I learnt many skills and gained a good idea of how a music video is done and the work need to be done to it. This can give me greater experience and make the actual final music video a lot better. One of the things that I learnt was how to keep timing for each shot, I had no idea it would take a long time to do different shots so therefore in my final music video I will be looking to take more time and care with each shot, like creating a shot schedule so other people would know when and where the next shot would need to be making it a lot easier for everyone. A problem that I occurred while shooting the video was that I done it over one day, so costumes and mise en scene, I only had costumes of what people had on that day or what they had bring in, I didn’t think this would be a problem from the start so in the next video I would make sure that I let people know what they need to bring in. Another thing I have learnt is how to use items such as a tripod which allows the camera to be level so the shots are not wonky and look unprofessional.
The best part of creating the video was the actual shooting of it, my group had a great laugh getting all the actors in place and making sure that they are copying the Britney video exactly how it is. I also enjoyed editing the video. By doing this Britney video I feel it is going to hugely help in my final video making it a lot better than it would without doing this, it showed me things that can go wrong and what can be done better. I would make sure I was a lot more prepared as well as the other people.
